⛅ Chocolate for breakfast? Yes, please.
Also, new battery tech, super convenient adapters, day jobs, and simplicity.
Got some good feedback on the “5 things” version of this newsletter, so I’m going to let it ride a bit longer. Here are 5 things I found that made me happy this past week.
1. 🔋New, promising battery tech
One of the biggest problems in the wide-scale transition from gas to electric vehicles is that current batteries are too heavy, too expensive, and take too long to charge. A research team from Harvard may have just solved the problem.
2. 💩Chocolate for breakfast? Yes, please.
Adam Bornstein sent out this recipe for chocolate oatmeal breakfast bowls. Trust me, they're delicious (and healthy). Make sure to tell your mom you CAN eat chocolate for breakfast.
3. 💻USB-C to USB-A adapters
Last year, I bought a new Dell XPS laptop. For the most part, it’s been great — minus the fact that there are no damn traditional USB ports. I’ve only had 1 adapter to use that Dell provided with the laptop, but just recently discovered these USB adapters on Amazon (affiliate link, but I’ve personally bought them) for super cheap. They’re small and wicked convenient.
4. 🚢Favorite Essay of the Week
Published 7 of 7 essays last week as part of the 30-day writing challenge I embarked on. This one was my favorite (and the crowd’s favorite too).
If interested, you can follow along with me here on Twitter 🚢 for the full journey.
5. Quote I’m thinking about
Any damn fool can make it complex. It takes a genius to make it simple. — Ray Dalio
That’s all for this week’s newsletter. Hope you enjoyed it!
